How hot is it in Las Vegas during August?

The temperature reaches around 37℃ during the daytime in August, falling away to 24℃ at night. The UV index will be very high at this time of year, so you'll need to protect your eyes and skin. Avoid sun exposure between 10am and 4pm where possible. If outdoors, find shade, wear sun-protective clothing, wear UV-blocking sunglasses and generously apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every hour or so. Don't be fooled by cloudy skies! Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand will increase UV exposure.

On average, there will be 2 rainy days during the month, amounting to 44.5mm in total. That's broadly comparable with the amount of rain we see in England during the summer months, and would be considered dry. There's a small chance that you'll catch a thunderstorm during your trip.

Is it windy in Las Vegas during August?

You're unlikely to experience any strong winds. Expect a light breeze that picks up slightly at times in August. With moderate humidity, any breeze will have a very welcome cooling effect.
